Sanand police arrest 12 over liquor party at villa near Ahmedabad

Sanand police arrested 12 persons for hosting and participating in an illegal liquor party at a private villa near Sanand village on Saturday night. Acting on a tip-off, police raided Villa No. 358 in the Kalahar Blue and Green residential enclave and seized Indian-made foreign liquor and mobile phones collectively valued at ₹1.61 lakh.
The crackdown is part of an ongoing operation targeting illicit liquor and gambling activities in the district. Sanand police had been monitoring weekend villas, farmhouses, and clubhouses in the area following reports of illegal gatherings. Upon receiving specific intelligence about the party at the villa, a police team conducted the raid and detained the partygoers.

7. Rajan Gopalbhai Soni (30), Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra
8. Ronit Rajeshbhai Panchal (32), New Ranip, Ahmedabad
9. Noman Mukhtar Sheikh (21), Sarkhej, Ahmedabad
10. Jai Piyushbhai Vyas (occupation listed as business), Sargasan, Gandhinagar
11. Mahavirsinh Vikramsinh Solanki (21), Odhav, Ahmedabad
12. Yash Dhanshyambhai Jat Sen (occupation listed as business), Bapunagar, Ahmedabad
According to police, the accused were found consuming alcohol in violation of Gujarat's prohibition laws. A glass bottle of Indian-made foreign liquor was seized along with 11 mobile phones from the premises. Sanand police have registered an offence under relevant sections of the Gujarat Prohibition Act, and further investigation is underway.
