Revised pay scale implemented for state’s eng-pharma college faculties

As per the recommendations of the seventh pay commission, the state government’s education department has finally approved a notion to implement the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) on Mar 1.

This scheme will be implemented for the professors of the government’s degree-diploma engineering and pharmacy colleges.

This scheme is to be implemented as per the All India Council for Technical Education’s (AICTE) pay commission recommendations.

This scheme shall guarantee a higher salary scale for around more than 4,000 professors of engineering and pharmacy degree-diploma colleges. These include 1,500 professors of engineering degree colleges and 2,500 of diploma colleges.

As per the government’s resolution, the salary scale would be implemented as per the benefits starting on Jan 1, 2016.

A proposal to implement this scheme for the professors of government technical colleges has also been filed.
