Retired Jamnagar cop’s son caught running brothel in his van on govt premises

A retired police official’s son, Ashoksinh Zala, was nabbed for allegedly running a brothel on government premises in Jamnagar.

The accused, a resident of Ranjit Nagar area, parked a tempo traveller van on government property and operated the brothel inside it.

Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid and detained Zala, along with the van, his car, and cash. An accomplice of Zala managed to flee the scene, and is currently absconding.

During the raid, a customer and a woman from Rajasthan were caught inside the van. A suspect named Dilip, escaped by opening the rear door of the vehicle.

The police nabbed Zala, and four mobile phones were recovered from him.

The van was equipped with an air conditioner, and the police found bed sheets, mattresses, pillows, and other amenities inside.

Additionally, the police seized 20 packets of condoms during the raid. A case has been registered against the accused under various sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.

During the investigation, the police also found an XUV car at the scene with a police-registered number plate. It was discovered that Ashoksinh Zala was illegally posing as a police inspector. The police have seized the car and the van, adding a separate charge for misuse of the police number plate.

The woman who was detained by the police confessed that she was from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. She stated that Zala charged customers ₹1,000, keeping ₹500 for himself and giving the remaining ₹500 to her. The police recovered ₹11,000 from the woman and sent her to Vikas Gruh.

Further investigation revealed that Ashoksinh Zala was operating his network using mobile phones. The police found mobile numbers, WhatsApp chats, and explicit photos of many women from across the country on the mobile phones seized during the raid.
