Redevelopment of seven temples in Vadodara approved

Gujarat’s religious places, whether large or small, have been known to attract a significant number of devotees. As the festive season approaches, the government has approved the proposal for redevelopment projects of seven temples in Vadodara.

CM approves temple redevelopments

Several redevelopment proposals were made by the Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board (GPYVB) to the chief minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel. The CM sanctioned the redevelopment of seven small temples worth ₹1.52 cr in Vadodara district.

Six of these temples are in Padra, while one is in Shinor.

GPYVB secretary RR Rawal said that the board had received proposals from different institutions and trusts in Vadodara district for the redevelopment of the small temples, for which proposals were presented before the CM.

Six temples in Padra, one temple in Shinor to be redeveloped

Works worth ₹1.02 cr have been sanctioned for six temples under government supervision.

These temples include: works worth ₹10.17 lakh at Shree Lalji Maharaj Mandir in Chansad, Padra; works worth ₹11.22 lakh at Shree Ranchhodji Mandir in Dabhasa, Padra; works worth ₹13.23 lakh at Shree Murlidhar Temple in Amla, Padra; works worth ₹13.78 lakh at Shree Neelkantheshwar Mahadev Mandir in Umaraya, Padra; works worth ₹27.65 lakhs at Shree Durgeshwar Mahadev Mandir in Mobha, Padra; and works worth ₹25.95 lakh at Shree Narasimhaji Mandir at Ambada, Padra.

Redevelopment works worth ₹50 lakh have been approved in Shinor at Shree Satyanarayan Mandir at Malsar.

Previously, redevelopment works at four temples worth ₹7.45 cr were approved in Vadodara. Rawal, in this approval, said, “I hope that the redevelopment of these religious places in Vadodara will accelerate with the approval granted from the CM. This will also strengthen the faith of the local devotees.”
