Rajasthan: Trailer rams into a bus from Bhavnagar to Mathura, kills 11

The accident took place on Jaipur-Agra national highway

Reacting to the accident, Gujarat CM announced ₹4 lakh solatium to the kin of the deceased and ₹50,000 for the injured. The eleven deceased were identified as Antu Gayani, Nandram Gayani, Lallubhai Gaani, Bharat, Laljibhai, Amba, Kanku, Ramuben, Madhu Dagi, Anju, and Madhu Chudasama.

The bus was carrying a total of 57 passengers who had embarked on their journey from Pushkar on the night of Sept 12, bound for Mathura-Vrindavan. After the accident, the bodies were taken to the district hospital in Bharatpur.


A tragic accident on the Jaipur-Agra highway took 11 lives and injured 20 when a trailer vehicle rammed into a bus from Gujarat’s Bhavnagar.

The bus, full of pilgrims, had begun its journey from Bhavnagar and was going to Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

Bus was halted after a breakdown

The bus conked out near Hantara Bridge on the Jaipur-Agra national highway, within the boundaries of Nadbai police station.

The driver stopped the bus and was attending to the breakdown, when a trailer vehicle rammed into the bus, causing a huge accident.

At the time of the collision, some passengers were in the bus, and some were standing outside when the collision took place.

The police reached the spot and carried out relief and rescue operations as soon as the information was received.

11 people died on the spot, and around 20 people were injured. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.

Gujarat and Rajasthan CMs condole the tragedy

Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel took to X and expressed his grief about the incident.

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot condoled the deaths of pilgrims and informed that the police and concerned administration have reached the spot.
