Rainfall across Gujarat till May 16, temperatures to rise gradually

Gujarat experienced unseasonal rains in 5 districts on Thursday. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted unseasonal rainfall on Friday.
“A light to moderate thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and surface winds reaching 40–50 km/h in gusts, along with light to moderate rainfall, is likely to occur in several regions of Gujarat on Friday,” said IMD on Friday.
The regions include:
Vadodara, Chhotaudepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad and Diu.
The IMD has predicted a rise in maximum temperatures by 2-4°C across Gujarat in the next three days.
On Wednesday, unseasonal rain was reported in five districts including Sabarkantha, Dang, Valsad, Dahod, and Botad.
A yellow alert for light, scattered rain has been issued for Thursday as well. Meanwhile, since farmers are currently bringing large quantities of agricultural produce to markets, authorities have advised covering and protecting these goods due to the risk of rain.
As per the forecast, Dahod Taluka recorded 0.75 inches of rain, Zalod 0.71 inches, Ahwa in Dang Taluka 0.12 inches, Vadhai 0.28 inches, Subir 0.4 inches, Gadhada in Botad Taluka 0.16 inches, and Ranpur Taluka 0.4 inches of rainfall.
