Punjab accident claims lives of 5 from Banaskantha, including woman cop

A tragic accident in Punjab claimed the lives of five friends from Banaskantha, Gujarat, including a woman police officer, on Saturday morning. The mishap occurred near Gurthadi village in Bathinda when a Fortuner car lost control, hit a divider, and overturned.
The victims, identified as Gujarat Police officer Amita and her friends Ankush, Bharat, Chetan, and Satish, were returning from Shimla. Early morning dense fog and extreme cold are believed to have contributed to the accident.
All five occupants died on the spot. Bathinda City SP Narinder Singh confirmed that the bodies were taken to Civil Hospital and that the families of the deceased have been informed.
The tragic incident has left the friends’ families and the community in deep shock. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
