Prez Murmu launches Ayushman Bhav campaign from Gandhinagar

President Droupadi Murmu today said, “India is adopting new technology and working methods in many fields, including the health sector.” She stated this while virtually launching the Ayushman Bhav campaign, which is a nationwide healthcare initiative, from Gandhinagar’s Raj Bhavan. Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and other dignitaries were also present.

“It would make our country successful in achieving the objective of Universal Health Coverage (UHC)”, she said about the campaign.

She expressed that India could set the example of digital inclusion in the field of healthcare services like other sectors.

President Droupadi Murmu today inaugurated the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project of the Gujarat Assembly, marking a step towards making paperless operations in the House.

"NeVA is a progressive transformation which will bring transparency in the functioning of the Gujarat assembly and also help members of the House to access best practices of other assemblies," the President stated addressing the state assembly.


President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit Gujarat on Sept 13 to inaugurate the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project at the state Assembly.

The NeVA project, inspired by the ‘One Nation, One Application’ initiative, is a significant step toward making the Assembly proceedings entirely paperless.

According to DM Patel, the secretary of the Gujarat assembly, president Murmu’s visit will also include an address to the legislators. This event is scheduled during the third session of the 15th assembly, commencing on Sept 13.

Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary invited the Prez

Vidhan Sabha Speaker Shankar Chaudhary extended the invitation to president Murmu to inaugurate the project and deliver a speech in the assembly.

Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel expressed his gratitude, highlighting the collaborative effort to digitize the Gujarat assembly under the initiative of ‘One Nation, One Application.’

Digital transformation for Gujarat Vidhan Sabha

The NeVA project aims to actively engage members of the legislative assembly (MLAs) in various technology-based processes. MLAs will be equipped with tablets, and comprehensive training has been provided to facilitate their participation in this digital transformation.
