Pooja Rajgor, accused in Amit Khunt case, dies in road accident near Gondal

Pooja Rajgor, who was named as an accused in the Amit Khunt suicide case, died in a road accident near Gondal on Saturday. Four other people travelling with her suffered serious injuries and were admitted to hospital for treatment.
According to police, the accident took place around noon on the Srinathgadh-Moviya road when a car lost control and crashed into a tree on the roadside. The group was returning to Rajkot after a trip to Sasan Gir when the incident occurred.
The impact of the crash was severe, leaving the vehicle badly damaged. Local residents and passing motorists rushed to help and informed emergency services. All five occupants were taken to a government hospital in Gondal, where doctors declared Pooja Rajgor dead. The remaining injured passengers were later shifted to a private hospital due to the seriousness of their injuries.
Police have begun an investigation into the accident and are collecting details about the victims and the circumstances that led to the crash. Authorities are also looking into whether overspeeding or loss of control by the driver contributed to the accident.
The case took a turn when Pooja’s family reportedly declined to take responsibility for her body. Police later contacted her former husband, Yash Dodia, who travelled to Gondal and agreed to complete the necessary formalities. The couple had married in 2025 and divorced earlier this year.
Pooja, originally from Junagadh, had been living in Rajkot. She was also active on social media and had a significant online following. Following the accident, police completed the legal procedures and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Further investigation into the crash is underway.
