Police nabs two over abetment charges in Dwarka mass suicide case

In the unfortunate mass suicide incident involving a family of four in Devbhumi Dwarka, Bhanvad police have nabbed two people from Jamnagar in an abetment case.
Chilling details were revealed from WhatsApp messages and video clips on the different mobile phones recovered from the site, along with the suicide note. Four people were found to be threatening and assaulting Ashok in the clip and making him write a note, which was later kept with them.
As per the complaint of Vinu Dhuva, his younger brother Ashok, his wife, and their young children were allegedly harassed by the accused, Vishal Jadeja, who asked for ₹20 lakh from Ashok. Jadeja allegedly was trying to extort this money by threatening, intimidating, and beating him.
In addition, the other accused, Vishal Pragada, was also not returning the ₹5.53 lakh he owed Ashok for a while.
During the spot inspection and investigation by the police in this case, a bottle of poisonous medicine, plastic glasses, and a cold drink bottle, were found near the bodies. Probing further, three mobile phones wrapped in plastic bags, along with handwritten notes, the deceased’s identity cards were also found.
The note found at the scene read, “Many people were harassing us for money. We are consuming poison because Vishal Darbar is harassing us. Vishal Pragada owes us ₹5.53 lakh, but he has not returned the amount for four months. Vishal Darbar assaulted me, and he ran a billing scam and asked for money over bogus bills. I owe him nothing. We are eventually dying by consuming poison.”
On the contrary, a WhatsApp message from July 9 on one of the phones read, “We had bought goods from VM Metal’s Vishal Jadeja. I owe ₹20 lakh for that. Another ₹5,87,962 for goods taken from Pintu Brass Industries. After that, I owe money over two different bills to Chamunda Enterprises, for which I have to pay Bhavani Enterprises as per the leisure. Both my son, Jatin Dhuva, and I take responsibility for this unpaid financial debt. We have not been forced to do anything. We got the goods, but we have not paid the money.”
In one of the video clips, four people were seen threatening and beating Ashok and making him write a note.
A WhatsApp message on Ashok’s wife, Leelu’s phone, also read, “Vishal Jadeja (VM Metal) used force to take the money. We are being harassed by him. He has harassed us a lot. We are dying because of him.”
The police have registered a case against both the accused under IPC Sections 108, 115(2), 308(c), and 54.
