Police file complaint against woman in BJP MLA case, face allegations of bias

A day after the survivor woman followed Gajendrasinh Parmar, the MLA of Sabarkantha, to a farmhouse in Vasna Chaudhary village, Gandhinagar, the police have registered a complaint against her based on a statement from Parmar’s driver for following them.However, the police did not file a complaint by the woman, raising questions about the investigation.

It is believed that the Dahod police and the local DYSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) officer delayed the registration of her complaint.

On other hand, a complaint against her has been filed by MLA’s driver.

The incident

The incident took place on Thursday, when the woman followed Gajendrasinh Parmar, who is accused of raping her and her daughter, to a farmhouse in Vasna Chaudhary village, Gandhinagar.

She reportedly tried calling the police several times, but they did not respond for two hours. Helpless, she and an acquaintance entered the farmhouse to confront the accused.

Inside, Parmar’s driver allegedly attacked them. The woman then attempted to chase the SUV in which Parmar and his driver were trying to flee. However, due to a speed breaker, her car collided with theirs on the highway.

Moments later, another vehicle arrived, and Parmar allegedly switched cars and fled the scene.

Following the accident, the injured woman was taken to Civil Hospital in Gandhinagar for treatment. Meanwhile, suspended Police Sub-Inspector GS Goswami arrived at the hospital with driver Zala, who was also there for treatment.

Additionally, they attempted to intimidate the woman by summoning officers from the Sector-7 police station.Zala even claimed that the MLA was not with him in the car, and filed a complaint against the woman for following him over a personal dispute.
