PM Modi to visit Gujarat on March 31, projects worth ₹19,800 cr to be launched

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on March 31, where he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹19,800 crore at Vav-Tharad.
The total includes projects worth ₹10,921 crore under Union Ministries such as Power, Road Transport & Highways, and Railways, along with ₹8,886 crore worth of projects under various departments of the Government of Gujarat.
The event will be attended by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi, and senior officials from both the Centre and the state.
Key projects under central government
Under the Ministry of Power, the Prime Minister will inaugurate projects worth ₹3,645 crore at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Kutch, which is being developed as the world’s largest hybrid renewable energy park.
Under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, foundation stones will be laid for:
Idar–Badoli bypass four-lane road (₹705 crore)
Dholavira–Mauvana–Vauva–Santalpur road section (₹575 crore)
Several road projects under the Ahmedabad–Dholera corridor (Packages 1 to 4) will also be inaugurated.
Railway projects worth ₹891 crore will be launched under the Ministry of Railways, including:
Himmatnagar–Khedbrahma broad gauge line
Gandhidham–Adipur track quadrupling
Kanalus–Jamnagar doubling
Additionally, the Khedbrahma–Himmatnagar–Asarva train will be flagged off.
Gujarat Government Projects Worth ₹8,886 Crore
A major share of ₹5,295.5 crore has been allocated to the Urban Development Department.
In Ahmedabad, key projects include:
Kharicut Canal development
Modernisation of BRTS and AMTS bus services
Construction of a new four-lane Subhash Bridge
Housing for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
Sports complexes and auditoriums
In Gandhinagar, projects include:
EWS housing
Sewer trunk line and sewage treatment plant at Pethapur
Interlinking of lakes at Randheja
Storm water infrastructure
Other departments involved include Water Resources, Water Supply, Roads & Buildings, GIDC, Health & Family Welfare, Tourism, Tribal Development, and Rural Development.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), the Prime Minister will also facilitate Ghar Pravesh for 38,949 houses across 34 districts in Gujarat.
