PM Modi to lay foundation, inaugurate projects over ₹1000 cr on Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Gujarat on a two-day visit beginning October 30, during which he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for multiple infrastructure and development projects worth ₹1,140 crore in Ektanagar, Kevadia in Narmada district.

The prime minister will also lead the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations, paying floral tributes at the Statue of Unity to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He will release a special commemorative coin of ₹150 denomination and a postage stamp in honour of Sardar Vallabbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.

On October 31, PM Modi will attend the Ekta Diwas Parade in Kevadia, featuring contingents from the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, and various state police forces. The parade will honour five Shaurya Chakra awardees from the CRPF and 16 gallantry medal winners from the BSF for their bravery in anti-Naxal operations in Jharkhand and counter-terror operations in Jammu & Kashmir. BSF personnel will also be recognised for their valour in Operation Sindoor.

This year’s parade will showcase 10 tableaux from the NSG, NDRF, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Manipur, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, and Puducherry, themed around ‘Unity in Diversity’. A cultural programme featuring 900 artists will present India’s classical dances, highlighting the nation’s rich cultural diversity.

The 2025 Rashtriya Ekta Diwas holds special significance as India commemorates Sardar Vallabbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary. PM Modi will also interact with 660 officer trainees from 16 Indian civil services and three Bhutanese services at the culmination of the 100th Foundation Course under Aarambh 7.0, themed “Reimagining Governance.”

Apart from this on october 30, PM Modi will inaugurate Birsa Munda Tribal University in Rajpipla. He will also flag off 25 electric buses and E-Bus charging depot, vaman vriksha vatika, satpuda protection wall, Narmada ghat extension, walkway from Ekta Dwar to Shreshtha Bharat Bhavan, dam replica fountain and GSEC quarters in Ektanagar.

Further, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of various projects including the Museum of Royal Kingdoms of India. Veer Balak Udyan Sports Complex, RainForest Project, Jetty Development near Shoolpaneshwar Ghat, Travelators at the Statue of Unity among others.
