Passport enquiry? Walk-in at RPO Ahmedabad without online appointments

Are you one of those Amdavadis awaiting their passport? Ahead of the New Year, the Regional Passport Office (RPO), Ahmedabad, has introduced a system applicants can directly visit the office without taking a prior online appointment.
The RPO Ahmedabad is providing a walk-in facility for all applicants to inquire about the status of their application in person.
From now on, applicants in Ahmedabad don't need to not get an online appointment to visit RPO for any inquiries.
IFS Abhijit Shukla, regional passport officer, has introduced this streamlined process for passport inquiries to enhance applicant’s convenience.
Read this before you step in at RPO
The applicants will have to keep their original documents while visiting the passport office at Gulbai Tekra, University Road, in Ahmedabad.
The facility is available on all working days between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. (for three hours).
Moreover, the status of applications will also be available through telephone, email, and social media handle X.
For telephone inquiries, you will have to dial 079-26300603 or mail at rpo.ahmedabad@mea.gov.in and inquire about your status by tagging @rpoahmedabad on X.
