Passengers endure discomfort after AC failure aboard Vadodara-Delhi IndiGo flight

Passengers travelling on an IndiGo flight from Vadodara to Delhi allegedly faced severe discomfort after the aircraft’s air-conditioning system stopped functioning while the plane remained grounded, prompting several travellers to fan themselves with newspapers.
According to passengers onboard flight 6E657, the incident occurred while the aircraft was stationed at the airport before take-off. Travellers alleged that both the air-conditioning and cabin lights stopped working, leading to rising temperatures and panic inside the aircraft.
Some passengers claimed that the aircraft doors remained shut during the delay, making conditions inside the cabin increasingly “suffocating”.
Videos and photographs circulating on social media showed passengers using newspapers and magazines to fan themselves amid the heat and lack of ventilation.
The airline had not issued a detailed statement regarding the incident at the time of filing this report. Further details are awaited.
