Pakistan abducts 8 Indian fishermen near Porbandar coast

The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) once again reportedly abducted eight Indian fishermen along with their fishing boat in the Arabian Sea. The incident occurred close to the international India-Pakistan maritime border within Porbandar’s sea limits.
According to preliminary information, the abducted boat belongs to Okha port, while all eight fishermen onboard are residents of Gir Somnath district. The fishermen were engaged in routine fishing activities near Porbandar when PMSA personnel allegedly entered Indian waters, seized the boat, and forcibly took the fishermen toward Pakistan.
The news of the abduction has sparked deep concern among the families of the missing fishermen and the coastal fishing community, which continues to face recurring incidents of similar nature.
Following the report, the Indian Coast Guard and other maritime security agencies have gone on high alert. Security along the coastline has been intensified, with increased patrolling in the affected maritime zone.
