The Gujarat government’s General Administration Department has executed a key reshuffle in the office of State Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Minister Purushottambhai Solanki.

As part of this change, Nimish Patel, who was serving as Personal Assistant in the

minister’s office, has been relieved of his duties. Patel, a senior scale officer in the Gujarat Administrative Service, has had his deputation services withdrawn, with his services now handed over to Branch G-1 for further posting.

In his place, Virendra Maniyar has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the minister’s office. With this move, the Personal Assistant (Class-2) post has been converted into the OSD post. Maniyar, who is currently serving as deputy manager in the Energy and Petrochemicals Department, has been appointed to this position on deputation.

The deputed officer will continue to receive pay and allowances from the parent department, and service-related matters will remain under the previous office unless any changes are made by the cadre-controlling department.
