Two outlets sealed, customers fined after free pizza offer leads to chaos in Prahladnagar

The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Monday sealed the newly opened Martino'z Pizza outlet in Prahladnagar after hundreds of people gathered outside the store following a promotional offer of free pizzas for the first 1,500 customers.

The massive crowd led to chaos, traffic congestion, and widespread littering, as many people discarded empty pizza boxes on the streets outside the outlet. The AMC’s Solid Waste Department took action and sealed two outlet for violating cleanliness and waste management norms.

Officials said the restaurant made no effort to clean up the area after the event.

On Sunday, a large crowd assembled for the free pizza offer and due to insufficient parking and poor crowd management, many visitors parked their vehicles haphazardly on the roadside, causing major traffic congestion. The Ahmedabad Traffic Police had to tow several vehicles, forcing owners to pay heavy fines.

According to AMC officials, two outlets of Martino'z Pizza have been sealed for failing to maintain hygiene and public order following the promotional event.
