Suicide or murder? Investigation underway to ascertain in Bhuj borewell case

A woman succumbed to her injuries by falling in a 540 ft deep borewell on Tuesday in Bhuj. People have suspected this to be a case of suicide.
But now police have started investigation for both murder and suicide in the case. As the borewell was securely sealed with a heavy lid and stones, questions have arisen as to how the woman managed to enter the borewell.
Indra Meena, the woman who was trapped for 34 hours in borewell in Kandherai village, died after being trapped in the borewell for long. Her body had reportedly swelled as she had been stuck inside for long, which made extraction of the body very hard.
NDRF, BSF, and the local administration and army were all involved in the rescue operation, which took 34 hours, but unfortunately the woman died in the borewell.
The police have sent the body for post-mortem, the results of which are still not out and the police is investigating the matter on the suspicion that it can be a murder or a suicide attempt.
It was likely a suicide attempt as her sister had mentioned that she had argued with her over finances on the day, which may have led to her taking the drastic step.
