Only 32 govt job recruitments in last two years

The government of Gujarat found itself cornered when asked about the unemployment status in the state assembly. The data provided in the government’s reply states that the 29 districts of Gujarat currently house 2.38 lakh educated youth and 10,757 semi-educated youth who are unemployed.
Unemployment is a serious concern in the major cities of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Anand, and Bhavnagar.
On top of this, a mere 32 candidates were inducted for government jobs in Gujarat in two years.
These include 22 from Ahmedabad, 9 from Bhavnagar, and 1 from Gandhinagar.
Fingers are directly pointed towards the government, which hasn’t followed the recruitment calendar.
Due to this, thousands of candidates are forced to opt for private and contractual work over their hard-earned degrees.
On the other hand, the government has also preferred contractual recruitment over the regular recruitment calendar.
