Dates for admission to various seats of Under Graduate (UG) Courses at 15 Government Universities of the State were extended by the education department of Gujarat. Through GCAS (Gujarat Common Admission Services) portal, the registrations can now be done till 11:59 pm on June 2, 2024.

Earlier, the final date of online registration for UG courses in 15 government universities in Gujarat was set to June 1.

Keeping in mind the interests of the students in the 15 government universities of the state, Gujarat University has extended the date of online registration for UG courses including BA, BCom, BSc, BBA, and BCA.

The admission on the GCAS portal began from Apr 1, 2024. As of  May 28, 4,39,865 students have registered on the portal and 2,63,115 of them have paid the fee. 

So far, many students have been unable to register or pay the fees. The education department was made aware of these issues   by various universities, colleges and students. 

Keeping in mind the wider interest of the students, the last date for filling the form through GCAS portal is now extended to June 2.

The department has requested all students to complete the required form and the fee payment by this date. As per the calendar announced by the government, the students are supposed to start the course at the end of June. With that, there will be no extensions under any circumstances, according to the department.
