Nine soldiers injured as Indian army truck overturns in Gujarat’s Saputara ghat

At least nine Indian Army personnel were injured on Wednesday after a military truck overturned on a hilly stretch of road in Saputara, in Gujarat’s Dang district.
The accident took place on a sharp bend along the Saputara–Shamgahan Ghat road as an army convoy was travelling from Nashik in Maharashtra to Jodhpur in Rajasthan.
The officials reportedly stated that the truck, which was carrying an army cannon and other defence equipment, lost control while descending the slope and overturned.
Police said all 13 soldiers who were travelling in the vehicle were rescued with the help of local residents. Nine of them sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious and were given first aid before being shifted to Ahwa Civil Hospital for further treatment.

No fatalities were reported in the incident.
Following the accident, Dang district police and army personnel rushed to the spot and secured the area. The administration imposed strict security measures since the vehicle involved in the accident contained defence equipment. Additional police and military personnel were deployed to safeguard the equipment and manage the situation.
