Nine people die in two separate accidents in Gujarat on same day
Six members of a family died in a horrific accident on the Sirohi-Abu Road National Highway 27 on Thursday morning.
The family was travelling in a car from Ahmedabad to Jalore in Rajasthan when it crashed into the back of a tractor-trolley, resulting in the death of six members on the spot.
Upon receiving information, the Sirohi police rushed to the spot. A severely injured woman was shifted to a hospital, while the bodies of the deceased were taken to the government hospital in Abu Road for post-mortem. The process of identifying the victims is currently underway.
Three people die in Surendranagar
In a separate accident on the Dhrangadhra-Malvan highway, a severe collision took place between a minivan and a truck. As per reports, three people lost their lives on the spot, while four others sustained injuries. Their condition is critical, and the death toll may rise.
Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team rushed to the scene. As per reports, after the accident, local residents and passersby immediately gathered at the spot and informed the police and ambulance services about the situation. Shortly after, ambulances and a police team arrived at the accident site.
The police have taken custody of the deceased and sent them to a government hospital for post-mortem examination. The accident caused severe traffic congestion on the highway. The police have registered a case of accidental death and initiated investigation.
