Authorities have restricted the movement of vehicles weighing more than 30 tonnes on the bridge. However, local residents allege that the restriction is not being effectively enforced.

According to the report, there is no official personnel stationed at the site to monitor or stop vehicles exceeding the permitted weight limit.

Residents and regular commuters have urged the authorities to repair the potholes without delay and ensure that the weight restriction is strictly implemented.

They have warned that continued neglect of the bridge's condition could lead to a serious accident.
