Navratri sees 10% spike in road accidents in Gujarat; 405 injured daily

During Navratri, Gujarat has witnessed a 10% increase in road accidents, with an average of 405 people injured each day.
Emergency services reported that over the first four days in Ahmedabad alone, 381 people were injured in traffic incidents. On average, more than 70 daily require emergency assistance due to road accidents in the city.
Apart from accidents, 1,230 people across Gujarat sought emergency treatment for heart-related issues, including 358 cases in Ahmedabad. Respiratory problems were even more prevalent, with 1,732 cases reported during the festival period.
Authorities have urged citizens to exercise caution on roads during the festival to prevent accidents and reduce emergency incidents.
