A worker who suffered severe burn injuries in a fire incident at a factory in Ahmedabad's Naroda GIDC area has succumbed during treatment, triggering outrage among his family members who have accused the company management of negligence.

The deceased, identified as Ramesh Parmar, had sustained critical burns in the fire that broke out at the industrial unit a few days ago. He was admitted to a hospital for treatment but died after battling his injuries for several days.

Following his death, grieving family members brought Ramesh Parmar's body to the company's premises and staged a protest, demanding justice, adequate compensation and strict action against those responsible for the incident. The protest led to tense scenes outside the factory.

The family alleged that the company management failed to take responsibility for the tragedy and had not provided any assurance of financial assistance. They further claimed that inadequate safety measures at the factory were responsible for the fatal accident.

According to the protesters, workers at the unit were not provided with proper safety equipment and essential protective measures. They argued that the tragedy could have been avoided if the company had maintained adequate workplace safety standards.

The family has demanded a thorough investigation into the incident, compensation for the victim's family and stringent action against those found responsible for the alleged lapses.

In view of the growing tension, local police personnel were deployed at the spot and have begun further investigation into the case. Authorities are examining the circumstances that led to the fire and whether safety norms were violated at the industrial unit.
