Multiple road closures in Ahmedabad on September 6 for Ganesh Visarjan

The Ahmedabad Traffic Police have issued an advisory announcing several road closures on Saturday due to large-scale Ganesh Visarjan processions across the city. Traffic restrictions will be in place from 1 pm until late night, and motorists have been urged to use alternative routes.

Key roads that will remain closed include—

• Paldi to Geetamandir and further towards Kalupur 
• Ellisbridge to Raipur
• Geetamandir to Kalupur Railway Station via Raipur crossroads
• Kalupur Station to Ellisbridge via Sarangpur Circle
• Rakhial crossroads to Saraspur ITI crossroads
• Delhi Darwaza to Namaste Circle to Dadhichi Bridge
• Delhi Darwaza BRTS stretch up to Dadhichi Bridge
• Riverfront roads on both east and west

The traffic department has suggested diversions for affected areas. For instance, commuters travelling from Geetamandir to Paldi can take Behrampura → Danilimda crossroads → Ambedkar Bridge → Paldi/Ashram Road.

Similarly, those heading towards Kalupur Railway Station can take Bhulabhai crossroads → Kankaria → Gomtipur Railway Colony → Ambedkar Hall → Kalupur Bridge.
