Multiple drowning incidents claim lives in Ahmedabad, four drown at Sabarmati Riverfront

Ahmedabad witnessed a series of tragic drowning incidents, with the latest case reporting the death of four people from Kubernagar at the Sabarmati Riverfront, sending shockwaves across the city.
According to preliminary information, the four individuals entered the river near the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad and were swept away by the current.
Rescue teams were rushed to the spot and search operations were launched. Their bodies were later recovered, and further legal procedures are underway.
Earlier, a heartbreaking incident was reported from Sitapur village in Mandal taluka of Ahmedabad (rural), where three children drowned in the Zholasar pond.
As per officials, five children had gone to bathe in the pond after celebrating Dhuleti. During the bath, three of them slipped into deeper waters and drowned, while the remaining two were rescued safely.
On receiving information, Hansalpur police rushed to the spot and initiated rescue and legal formalities. The bodies of the three children were retrieved and sent to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.
