More than 21,000 properties sealed in Ahmedabad, over ₹13 cr were recovered

Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) sealed a total of 21,833 properties of the defaulters in seven zones and collected ₹13.23 crore on Feb 9 over the recovery of outstanding property tax.

A maximum of 6,270 properties were sealed in the East Zone. The highest revenue of ₹3.41 crore was generated from the South-West Zone.

Under the trigger campaign for property tax recovery of AMC, 21 teams were put on duty to collect property tax arrears in various wards of East Zone.

In addition to Rakhial, Odhav, the properties of defaulters were sealed in different estates in Amraiwadi Ward.

For the recovery of tax arrears, a total of 2,235 properties of defaulters in other wards including Nava Naroda, Indira Bag Ward, and Hanspura Ward in North Zone were sealed and ₹1.28 crore was collected.

A total of 1,309 properties of non-paying property taxpayers were sealed and ₹1.45 crore was recovered in various wards of the Central Zone.

A total of 1,887 properties of defaulters in various wards of South Zone were sealed and recovery of ₹1.15 crores was done.

In the West Zone, 4,735 properties were sealed and a recovery of ₹1.89 crore was made.

In the North-West zone, 1,247 properties were sealed and ₹1.23 crore was recovered.

4,150 properties were sealed in the south-west zone and a recovery of ₹3.41 crore was made.
