Mona Khandhar appointed chairman of Gujarat Panchayat Seva Selection Board

The Gujarat Government has appointed Mona Khandhar, Principal Secretary of Panchayat, Village Housing, and Village Development Department, as the new Chairman of the Gujarat Panchayat Seva Selection Board, replacing retired IPS officer Hasmukh Patel. Mona Khandhar is a 1996 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from Gujarat.

Hasmukh Patel, IPS, Managing Director of Gujarat State Police Housing Corporation, Gandhinagar, had served as the Chairman of the Gujarat Panchayat Seva Selection Board. The Home Department has accepted his voluntary resignation from this post, as per their Notification No: IPS/102024/2257/B dated 06/11/2024.

Hasmukh Patel has now formally resigned from his position as Chairman of the Gujarat Panchayat Seva Selection Board. Following which, Mona Khandhar, IAS, Principal Secretary of Panchayat, Village Housing, and Village Development Department, has been assigned the position of Chairman in addition to her current duties.

Now Hasmukh Patel is appointed as the Chairman of the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC). Hasmukh Patel is a 1993 batch senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from Gujarat. He has served as the Director General of Police (DGP) and held other key positions, including Chairman of the Gujarat Police Recruitment Board and Managing Director of the Gujarat Police Housing Corporation Limited.
