Mob of 15 attacks shopkeeper in Ahmedabad after he fails to fulfil ₹50 lakh extortion demand

More than 15 armed individuals attacked a mobile shop owner in Ahmedabad’s Ghodasar area after he allegedly refused to pay ₹50 lakh extortion money. The brutal assault, captured on CCTV, has gone viral on social media, raising serious concerns over security and safety of individuals.

The incident took place near the Punitnagar crossing, where the attackers carrying sticks and rods, stormed the shop and assaulted the trader. The victim, identified as Kamlesh Samat, sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.

According to the police, the attack stemmed from a demand for extortion. When Samat refused to comply, the mob launched a violent assault in broad daylight. The Vatva GIDC Police have registered a case and begun a detailed investigation into the matter.

Authorities have assured swift action, but residents are demanding increased security measures.
