According to officials, acting on a tip-off, a team from the Vejalpur police station conducted a search at the residence of Mohammad Tausif Fazle Mehmood Sheikh, at Makkanagar Society, behind Sonal policec in Vejalpur, Ahmedabad, on Sunday.

During the search, officers reportedly recovered two transparent plastic ziplock pouches containing 14.920 grams of mephedrone, estimated to be worth ₹1.49 lakh. The contraband was found in the trouser pocket of the accused. Further search of the premises led to the discovery of 1.366 kilograms of marijuana, valued at ₹13,660, concealed in a plastic bag wrapped in BOPP tape, found inside a bag on the bed.

Police also seized a mobile phone, a digital weighing fork, 119 empty ziplock bags, ₹700 in cash, and other packaging material, suggesting preparation for sale or distribution.
