Massive fire breaks out at paint factory near Ahmedabad’s Sanand, flames engulf chemical unit

A major fire accident has once again exposed the industrial safety risks in Sanand, one of Ahmedabad rural’s biggest manufacturing hubs. Panic spread across the Moraiya industrial area after a massive blaze erupted inside a paint manufacturing factory, sending thick black smoke billowing across the region.
According to reports, the Esdee paint factory was involved in paint production and stored a large quantity of highly flammable chemicals. Within minutes, the fire spiralled out of control, turning into a massive inferno that engulfed the entire unit. Workers and nearby residents rushed out in panic after huge flames were seen erupting from inside the factory premises.
Following the incident, multiple fire brigade teams from Sanand and nearby stations were rushed to the spot. Firefighters have launched a large-scale operation using water and foam to prevent the blaze from spreading further.
Authorities are yet to confirm whether any workers remain trapped inside the factory. The exact cause of the fire, including the possibility of a short circuit or chemical reaction, is still under investigation.
