Massive fire breaks out at chemical factory in Ahmedabad’s Isanpur

A massive fire broke out in a chemical factory located in Gurukrupa Estate, near the Mony Hotel in the Isanpur area of Ahmedabad on Monday, triggering panic in the surrounding locality.

As soon as the incident was reported, at least eight fire brigade vehicles rushed to the spot and firefighting operations are currently underway. Fire personnel are continuously spraying water in an effort to bring the blaze under control.

The fire turned extremely intense due to the presence of chemicals inside the factory, with thick plumes of smoke visible from a considerable distance. Since the factory is surrounded by shops and residential areas, the incident led to chaos and fear among locals.

So far, there are no reports of any casualties. However, heavy damage to the factory is feared due to the severity of the fire.
