During the virtual hearing of a case in the Gujarat High Court, a complainant was seen attending the case from the toilet, visible in a close-up shot.

A video has gone viral on social media showing a case presided over by Justice Nirzar Desai, in which a person named Samad had joined the hearing.

During a close-up, it was seen that Samad, the complainant in the case, was wearing a wireless Bluetooth headset while attending the hearing from the lavatory.

He was attending the hearing for a quashing petition related to a complaint he had filed against the accused.

The hearing was live-streamed, and the recording later went viral on social media, sparking outrage.

In such cases, courts often impose contempt of court charges and fines ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹2 lakh. It remains to be seen how the High Court will address this matter.

Earlier, a 42-year-old man had attended a virtual court hearing from the washroom, for which the Gujarat High Court had imposed a fine of ₹2 lakh.
