A man was held for allegedly injuring a police officer with rash driving in Ahmedabad’s Thaltej late on Thursday night.

According to reports, an NSG (National Security Guard) mock-drill was underway near the Thaltej Metro Station in Ahmedabad, and for that the traffic was halted at the venue.

Under the Thaltej Metro Station, when a policeman tried to stop one of the cars, the driver allegedly tried to run him over and flee.

The injured cop was identified as Sardar Singh, an unarmed head constable from the Bodakdev police station,  who is now getting treatment in a private hospital on SG highway.
