A tragic incident took place on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near  Padra in Vadodara district. A man lost his life after his car suddenly caught fire while travelling towards Karjan. According to the initial report, the fire may have started due to overheating in the vehicle’s tyres, though the exact reason is still being investigated.

The accident happened on the Padra-Karjan stretch of the expressway. Witnesses said the flames spread very quickly, leaving the driver trapped inside the car. Before any help could reach him, the vehicle was engulfed in fire and the man was charred to death.

After receiving information about the incident, a team from the Vasna Fire Station of the Vadodara Fire Department rushed to the spot and worked to bring the fire under control. Officials said the flames were intense and it took considerable effort to completely extinguish the burning vehicle.

Padra police also reached the location soon after the incident. Once the fire was controlled, firefighters and police personnel managed to remove the body from the damaged car with great difficulty.

Police have registered a case of accidental death and started further investigation into the matter. Authorities are now trying to identify the deceased using the car registration number and other available evidence.
