Man arrested for allegedly killing friend over money dispute in Dholka

A 33-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his friend following a dispute over money in Dholka town of Ahmedabad district.
The incident took place in the Darbar Jin area of Dholka, where the victim's body was found lying in a pool of blood inside a room, causing panic among locals.
According to police, the deceased, Rajlal, and the accused, Roshankumar Shah, were natives of Bihar who had come to Gujarat for work and were living together in the same room.
Preliminary investigation revealed that an argument broke out between the two over financial transactions and settlement of accounts.
During the altercation, the accused allegedly attacked Rajlal with a sharp weapon and slit his throat, killing him on the spot, police said.
Following the incident, Dholka Town Police launched an investigation and formed six teams to trace the accused.
Under the supervision of Police Inspector A.R. Dhawan, police analysed CCTV footage and used technical surveillance to track the suspect.
The accused was arrested within hours of the incident and has been remanded to judicial custody.
Further legal proceedings are under way, police said.
