Major reshuffle in Gujarat Police: 68 PIs promoted as DySPs, 7 DySPs transferred

A major administrative reshuffle has taken place in the Gujarat Police, with the state Home Department issuing orders for the promotion of 68 Police Inspectors (PIs) to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), along with the transfer of seven DySPs.

According to the orders issued by the state Home Department, promotions have been granted to armed, unarmed and wireless Police Inspectors serving across various districts of Gujarat.

75 PI and DySP promotions and transfers

As per the Home Department circular, a total of 47 unarmed, 9 armed and 12 wireless Police Inspectors from districts including Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Vadodara and others have been promoted to the post of DySP. In addition, transfer orders have been issued for seven DySPs from both armed and unarmed cadres.

The reshuffle is part of routine administrative measures aimed at strengthening police administration across the state.
