Kutch police nab 10-member gang that posed as ED officials and stole ₹17 lakh jewellery

The Kutch East police arrested a gang of 10 members from Ahmedabad, Gandhidham, and Bhuj who had duped a gold businessman by pretending to be Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials and robbing his shop.
The gang posed as fake ED officers and stole jewellery worth ₹17 lakh from the shop.
The businessman filed a complaint, and the Kutch police successfully apprehended the gang. According to sources from the Kutch police, the gang, which included members from Ahmedabad, Gandhidham, and Bhuj, had been targeting prominent businessmen for a long time.
After robbing businessmen in Ahmedabad and Bhuj, the gang planned their next heist in Gandhidham. The gang went to a jewellery shop, posed as ED officers, and raided both the shop and the businessman’s house.
After the ‘raid’, the businessman became suspicious and filed a complaint with the A Division Kutch police. A team quickly reached the location and arrested two members of the gang.
Preliminary investigations revealed there were other members involved, and the police later arrested eight more members from Ahmedabad and Bhuj.
East Kutch Police Superintendent Sagar Bagamore stated that a formal complaint will be registered and detailed information will be released.
