Kutch Express runs over family trying to cross tracks at night

A family of a worker was killed when they were hit by the Kutch Express train near Bhimasar in Anjar. The accident took place at around 11.30 pm on Friday.
The worker’s family from Lawa village in Diyodara, who had been living away from home, was traveling back to Bhimasar to meet family members over a personal matter.
According to railway police sources, the family was crossing the railway tracks when they were hit by the Kutch Express train. The victims include Janta Valmiki (30), her son Mahesh (9), and her 2.5-month-old child, Prince.
The family was returning to their hometown after visiting their family in Palanpur, boarding the Gandhidham-bound train.
When they arrived at Bhimasar to meet relatives, the wife, husband along with their two sons, got off the train in the dark of the night. The mother and her children were holding hands while crossing the tracks with the husband when the speeding train came and hit them. The mother and her two sons were killed on the spot. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident, and the Gandhidham Railway Police are looking into the matter.
