Kutch college student slaps principal on being told to maintain discipline, wear uniform

In yet another student episode in Gujarat that is concerning, a 19-year-old college student in Kutch’s Adipur slapped his principal after being pulled up for discipline and uniform.

Rajvirsinh Mohansinh Chavda slapped Sushil Dharmani (60), principal at Tolani Arts and Science College, on Monday.

Dharmani had reprimanded Chavda and his group of six boys over maintaining discipline in campus, saying, “Why are you sitting here in the parking area, and where is your uniform?”

The enraged teen replied, “Why are you disallowing me to sit in the garden? You have hurt my self-esteem. You will have to apologise to me publicly.” 

Subsequently, matters turned worse when Chavda Chavda slapped the principal in front of his group.

The incident led to a huge uproar in Adipur city, and over 1,000 people, including students, professors, and alumni, rallied towards the police station.

The police registered a case against seven students, including Chavda, and arrested them.
