Raj Shekhawat detained

As the Kshatriya community continues to oppose Rupala’s candidature for the Rajkot Lok Sabha seat, the demand to cancel the union minister’s ticket has intensified, and protests are being held across the state.

Today, the Rajput community has gathered at the BJP headquarters ‘Kamalam’ in Gandhinagar.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Kshatriya leader Raj Shekhawat has been detained by the police at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel airport.

Earlier, he had mentioned in a video from the airport that he should not be forced to “commit suicide.” Shekhawat said in a video, “I am currently at Ahmedabad airport and tight police security has been deployed outside.”

He further added, “Do not provoke me to commit suicide; let us (protestors) go to Kamalam and clear the way till there; we do not want any hindrance.”

It is noteworthy that tight police security has been deployed at the BJP headquarters.

Earlier, a video of Pragnaba Zala threatening to commit Johar went viral on social media.

“If no decision is taken regarding Rupala, we will commit Johar. We have started preparations for it as well," she mentioned in the video.

However, she has been under house arrest for three days.
