Controversial Gujarat-based influencer Kirti Patel has reportedly been arrested from Rajasthan amid the ongoing dispute over bathing at Mrugi Kund in Junagadh. Three cases have been registered against her in Junagadh.

Several incidents involving alleged intimidation by social media influencer Kirti Patel and her associates have been in discussion. Just a day ago, a YouTuber from Junagadh accused Patel and her associates of threatening him and demanding ₹20 lakh in extortion after he opposed her controversial videos. The matter escalated after the youth allegedly attempted suicide twice by consuming phenyl due to alleged harassment.

What was the controversy?

According to information received, during the Maha Shivratri fair held in Junagadh, Kirti Patel sparked controversy after taking a ritual bath at Mrugi Kund. Junagadh-based YouTuber Abzal Sida went live on social media to oppose the incident and question the act.

Following Abzal’s video, it is claimed that Kirti Patel’s social media followers began declining. Allegedly angered by this, Patel and her associates targeted Abzal.

It is alleged that Abzal was threatened with a false rape case and asked to pay ₹20 lakh, with claims that his video had caused a drop in Patel’s followers. Distressed by the alleged threats and harassment, Abzal reportedly consumed phenyl at his residence and later again near the Bhadar bridge close to Jetpur’s Navagadh area.

The youth is currently undergoing treatment, and his condition is being monitored.

Taking serious note of the matter, Junagadh’s Udyognagar Police Station registered a case against Kirti Patel along with Divya Savalani, Jaspalsinh, Hanu Chavda, and Viram Mewada. The accused have been booked under sections related to extortion, criminal intimidation, and abetment to suicide.

Given Patel’s repeated involvement in controversies, it is likely that police may adopt a strict stance in this case.
