Kheda man arrested for killing couple, sexually assaulting woman before murdering her

A man was arrested in Gujarat’s Kheda for the double murder of a couple and rape of the woman.
In Mahudha taluka of Kheda, two dead bodies of a couple were found in Mahisa village on Wednesday. Over 150 CCTV footages were examined, and around 70 suspects were questioned.
One of the CCTV recordings from the Netram Project in Dakor showed the couple riding with one Prakash alias Pako Chandubhai Ninamaon on a bike heading towards Alina.
Based on the vehicle’s registration number, the police identified and located Ninama from Khijalpur.
It was revealed that Ninama, a native of Vandeli village in Panchmahal, and currently residing in Khijalpur near Thasra in Kheda district, had met the couple in Dakor on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old girl had eloped with her 25-year-old boyfriend Ajay a day before her arranged marriage. The couple arrived in Dakor in search of a safe place and came into contact with Ninama.
Ninama assured them that he would arrange a place for them to stay. He took them on his bike from Dakor to Alina village and then to Mahisa, where he gave them temporary shelter in an open field on the outskirts of the village. He told the couple to spend the night there and promised to make better arrangements in the morning.
That night, Ninama killed Ajay using a blunt object. He then attacked the girl, rendering her unconscious, and raped her. After the assault, he inflicted injuries to her private parts and killed her.
Notably, the accused’s first marriage had ended in divorce, and he was living separately from his second wife due to domestic issues.
