Junagadh Shivratri row ends in surprise truce between Kirti Patel, Indrabharthi

Days after a bitter public row over ritual bathing at Mrugikund in Gujarat’s Junagadh district, social media figure Kirti Patel and Mahant Indrabharthi have reached an unexpected truce, with a video of their reconciliation sparking widespread discussion among followers.

The dispute began over the issue of bathing at Mrugikund, where Patel alleged that she was forcibly removed while performing rituals. She subsequently released a series of videos levelling serious accusations against Indrabharthi and warning that she would further expose what she described as ‘wrongdoing’.

Following the incident, three police cases were registered against Patel. She later secured bail in all three matters. In the aftermath, she continued to make allegations against the mahant, accusing him of hypocrisy.

However, in a dramatic turn of events, a video surfaced late on Monday night showing Patel meeting Indrabharthi and other religious figures at Bharati Ashram. Those present included Mahendranand and Hariharanand Bapu. 

In the footage, Patel is seen offering a shawl to the seers and touching their feet in a traditional gesture of respect.

She was later reportedly taken to Indrabharthi’s ashram, and sources indicated that the dispute between the two sides had been amicably resolved.
