JP Nadda to be BJP national president till June 2024

Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) stalwart leader Jagat Prakash Nadda’s tenure as the party president has been extended until June this year.
The decision was announced by home minister Amit Shah at the party’s meeting in Delhi today.
Nadda will hold the post of party national president until the Lok Sabha elections. The proposal came after his term ended on Jan 20, 2024, and was accepted until June 2024 by the party’s national council.
Under the leadership of Nadda, the BJP desires to bag 370 seats for itself and 400 for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Earlier, JP Nadda was made the working president of the BJP in June 2019. He was made the full-time national president on Jan 30, 2020.
Nadda, originally hailing from Himachal Pradesh, has represented the state in the Rajya Sabha since 2012.
He also made it to the list of candidates nominated for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.
