ISA to host Free health awareness and life-saving skills camp on Republic Day in Ahmedabad

On the occasion of Republic Day, January 26, 2026, the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA) will organise a free health awareness and life-saving skills camp for the general public in Ahmedabad as part of its nationwide ISA Social Outreach Program of the Year.

Under this initiative, Dr Vijay Sonavane and his team will provide practical guidance to people on how they and their families can protect themselves against certain medical emergencies and common health risks. The team will also distribute free medicines for heart-related ailments, with the objective of promoting better health among as many people as possible.

The outreach programme aims to empower citizens by teaching five essential life-saving skills, in line with ISA’s campaign slogan “Each ISAiian Teach 5 People 5 Skills”.

These skills include:

Chest Compressions (COLS)

Abdominal Thrust

Management of Vasovagal Syncope

Recovery Position
