Once again, in Gujarat, transfers of officials and bureaucrats are on the roll, including 65 senior IPS and 5 state police officials. The Gujarat government today rejigged postings of 70 IPS and SPS officers in the state “in public interest with immediate effect”.

Chief minister Bhupendra Patel released the order for the transfer of IPS officers. The transfer order has been signed by home department additional chief secretary Mukesh Puri.

ADGP Gyanendra Singh Malik has replaced IPS Prem Vir Singh as the police commissioner of Ahmedabad.

While, range IG Abhay Chudasama has been placed in the Karai Academy. Vadodara’s police commissioner, Dr Shamsher Singh, has been appointed to law and order while Anupam Singh Gehlot has been posted as the new police commissioner of Vadodara.
