IPL final in Ahmedabad brings wave of black marketing of tickets
The PKBS vs RCB IPL 2025 Final is going to be held on Tuesday (June 3, 2025) at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. There has been an overwhelming demand for tickets, leading to widespread black marketing. Tickets are being sold at nearly three times their original prices, giving scalpers a major advantage. Cricket enthusiasts, unable to secure tickets through official channels, are being forced to pay exorbitant prices.
IPL final tickets sold out within hours
As fans are extremely excited to witness the final match the tickets for the IPL final sold out within just a few hours of going on sale.
Scalpers who booked tickets online are now selling them at triple the price on Facebook and WhatsApp. Reports indicate that tickets for the President Gallery, originally priced at ₹15,000, are being sold for ₹30,000 to ₹35,000. South Premium tickets, originally priced at ₹6,500, are going for ₹17,000. Tickets worth ₹1,500 are being sold for ₹5,000, and ₹2,500 tickets are fetching as much as ₹7,500. Cricket lovers are being forced to pay these steep prices.
Notably, even complimentary tickets are being sold at double the rate. It has also been reported that scalpers are selling tickets near the stadium premises. Due to the final, hotels across the city are fully booked, with a large number of cricket fans expected to travel to Ahmedabad from other states. This has brought significant benefits to the local hospitality industry.
